Art of Storytelling

Rooted in the rich heritage of Korean folk painting, Minhwa, Yoonki Kim's work explores the beauty of tradition through a contemporary perspective. Drawing inspiration from nature, folklore, and the symbolic language of Korean art, she creates vibrant compositions where familiar motifs take on new meanings and timeless stories find a fresh expression.

In Minhwa, every element carries a wish — for happiness, prosperity, love, or longevity. Through delicate details, playful imagination, and an expressive palette of colors, Yoonki reinterprets these traditional symbols into a visual language of her own. Her paintings invite viewers into a world where heritage and imagination coexist, offering a gentle reminder that art can hold both beauty and hope.
